My First PC Build — I’m Learning New Things!
So, I’ve finally started my build after started I.T. concepts for 2 years —
This is the video I’m copying by Linus Tech Tips.
$1000 4K Gaming machine.
Easy enough, right?
The first thing was getting the parts, this is what I got:
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B660-PLUS D4 LGA 1700
CPU: Intel Core i5 Core 12400F
SSD: Intel 670p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe 3.0
RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit
PSU: EVGA 220-G5–0850-X1 Super Nova 850 G5
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300A
Currently, I got my CPU, cooler, RAM, and SSD on my motherboard and screwed my motherboard into the case. I had to unscrew my hard drive cage from the bottom of my case and stuck my 850 W power supply in the bottom of my rig.
The next part is plugging the cables into my motherboard… Gotta figure out where the cables go.
After I gotta order my GPU (gonna get a RTX 3060!!!) and monitor and new mouse — and I should be good!
It’s been so cool to get my hands on parts — and actually do what I see in Youtube videos everyday. I can name every part piece by piece.
And I noticed that my learning style is mainly visual (duh, I’m a film major). When I get stuck (like how to put a CPU into a motherboard) I ask Youtube, and watch the video.
And it’s so fun learning something new. Creating your own projects is such a fun way to get knowledge on a new industry.
My build is almost over!
